Airline Shipments

The Service:

If you are located in a distant state or even another country, having your new puppy shipped to you is a great safe, affordable option. American Airlines offers a Live Animal Cargo shipping service where the puppy is kept in an airline approved kennel, sized sufficiently to allow your pet to comfortably move around. Food and water will be attached to the kennel and will be offered to your puppy when specified according to its current feeding schedule. Your puppy will be monitored by American Airlines personnel while at the airport, during any layovers, and when being transported on and off the aircraft. 

After landing at the destination airport, your puppy will be taken to American Airlines Cargo Building affiliated with your local airport. The address for this facility will be communicated to you during the booking process. You will also be provided with a Air Waybill number that will allow you to confirm the accuracy of the booking and to track your pet during it's travels.

Within 10 days of traveling via AA cargo, your puppy will need to be taken to the vet to insure the health of your pet with a flight health certificate.

I will be in contact with your breeder to insure that the proper paperwork is provided before the day of delivery.

Understandably as an expectant pet parent, it may be unnerving to think of your puppy flying "alone" on a plane. Fortunately, this service has been perfected over the years by American Airlines, and they will always prioritize the safety of your pet; Pets are only flown in Aircrafts that have climate-controlled cargo holds that are accommodating to pets, and are only able to be flown through specified airports with the trained staff and facility to care for this precious cargo. There are also temperature guidelines that insure the health of your pet while waiting to be taken on and off the aircraft. (We will book accordingly depending on the temperatures in your area)

From my own experience I can confidently stand behind this method of pet delivery. Feedback has proven the puppies to be well-cared for and able to quickly transition into their new homes after their travels.

The Cost:

The cost for this method of delivery is typically between $550-$650, depending on the size of your puppy and location of the breeder. This cost will cover the delivery charges and also the pet carrier, which will come home with your puppy from the airport. Pictured to the left is the pet carrier- we will size according to the weight and height of your new puppy. (a 2 compartment dish will be clipped on to the door for food and water)
